The Forces Behind The Hanover Monthly

Introducing Our Team

Editor in Chiefs

  • Chance Archer

    Editor in Chief

“Hey, I’m Chance Archer, the Co-Founder of the Hanover Monthly. I’m currently a senior at Patrick Henry High School. A few things about me are that I run a nonprofit called One Small Chance and swim year-round for NOVA.

While I’m involved in a few clubs such as 7th Up and Debate - The Hanover Monthly was founded due to the lack of student voice within the community, the mission is to bring students, parents, teachers, and education together within the community creating a place for innovation and presence for all.”

  • Mrs. Evans

“I am Isabella Godard, & I am a senior at Hanover High School.

I am a part of the varsity cross country and track teams, and I participate in school clubs such as 7th Up, Ambassadors for New Students, Beta, NHS and NFHS. As well as the ACA program.

After High School I hope to study medicine, and study abroad in Europe.

I helped start The Hanover Monthly because I believe students should be more educated. and involved in what goes on within their school district.”

I’m involved in a few extracurricular activities such as SODA (promoting substance use prevention), Hanover Youth Service Council, Girl Scouts, Advanced College Academy, as well as Varsity Swimming for my high school. In my free time, I love to hang out with my friends and play games outside.

I joined the Hanover Monthly Newspaper to spread my love for writing as well as become more involved in the community.”

  • Kamara Ellison

“Hi there! I'm Kamara Ellison, and I'm the creative force behind the Hanover Monthly Instagram page as well as all advertisement content created for The Hanover Monthly! I also serve as the Assistant Editor at Hanover High School.

My passion lies in graphic design and advertising, and my ultimate goal is to become an Art Director in the future. Alongside this, I am actively involved in clubs such as DECA, Beta, and Environmental as well as our county’s ACA (Advanced College Academy) program, but my primary dedication is to The Hanover Monthly.

I joined the team because our Editors in Chiefs, Chance Archer, and Isabella Godard, share my enthusiasm for our community. I aim to increase awareness about the various events in Hanover County and unite our student body through marketing, design, and collaborative efforts. I am excited to see the heights we can reach through The Hanover Monthly!”

  • Grayson Heraldo

“Hey, I’m Grayson Heraldo, a senior at Atlee High School.

Outside the classroom, you’ll find me on the baseball field or golf course. I’m part of NHS, Beta Club, Spanish Honor Society, and the Math Team. As an IB Diploma Candidate with a strong passion for chemistry, I love finding creative solutions to problems. When I have a moment to relax, I’m behind my DJ setup, mixing music.

I joined the Hanover Monthly team because it fuels the sense of community I’ve always valued and celebrates what makes Hanover County unique.”
